About This Project

Festival dell’Amore

Graphic artwork
For  “Il Festival dell’Amore” (Love Festival), I was asked by Cristina Morozzi to be part of a collective exhibition on show at La Triennale.
Every artist/designer was asked to give an interpretation on the real meaning of love, taking inspiration from the Festival’s Manifesto:
“Love as a model of life.
It is a real mission: those who experience strong feelings and passions have a duty, now more than ever, to pollinate the air around them. In every field of our existence, those who build, design, invent, communicate and all people with an irrepressible human sensitivity are called, without limits or distinctions, to have their say on the most important and decisive feeling of the human being.
Because love multiplies our energies, our impulses.
Because love sensualizes everything, ignites everything, vivifies everything.
Because love feeds and strengthens the sense of responsibility and the instinct for protection.
Because love increases our aptitude for building all the combinations that create life.
Only love, passion, great feelings can defeat the climate of cynicism, disenchantment, resentment and hostility that is polluting human relationships. Because love must always win.”
The result was hundreds of giant hearts hanging from La Triennale’s ceiling.
My artwork is focused on the close connection between love, sex, joy and deep pain in all kind of relationships.
